What Moneta does

Less spreadsheet.
More clarity.

Built in the UK for people with more than one account, a side hustle, a family to budget for, or a portfolio to keep an eye on.

£0

Safe-to-spend until payday

Your next pay date, bills still to come and what you've already spent, turned into one number you can trust. Budgets warn you when you're spending faster than the month.

Every bank, one view

Connect 2,000+ UK & EU banks through Yapily, an FCA-authorised open-banking provider, or import a CSV statement from any bank.

Subscription radar

Moneta spots recurring payments automatically and shows what they cost you a year.

Crypto, read-only

Connect exchanges with read-only API keys. Withdrawal permissions are always rejected.

Forex & prop-firm tracker

Track balance, equity and drawdown from daily or monthly statements, with clear limits.

Family money

Pocket money, chores and savings goals for kids, plus shared spaces for the household.

Split bills, settle up

Split a bill in seconds and keep track of who owes whom, without anyone sending money through us.

Money pressure, at a glance

Every mortgage, rent, card, loan, car finance, BNPL, phone contract and insurance in one register. A traffic-light gauge shows how much of your income they take and flags trouble early: living in the overdraft, minimum payments, payday loans, payments slipping.

Can I afford it?

New phone, car on PCP or HP, a loan: see the full cost of each way to pay side by side, and what the monthly payment does to your budget, before you sign. Numbers, not sales pitches.

Renewal radar

Car and home insurance renewals, fixed-rate mortgage ends, phone contracts and 0% card offers, with a heads-up well before the date.

Payoff planner

Snowball vs avalanche, an extra-payment slider and your debt-free date, plus an educational credit-health estimate.

Help when it's hard

Priority bills explained, Breathing Space, an income & expenditure statement and creditor letter templates as PDF, plus one-tap access to free advisers like StepChange.

How to connect your bank

Your bank, your consent.

Connecting takes about a minute. You approve everything at your own bank, and Moneta only ever gets read-only access.

Open Add account

In Moneta go to Accounts → Add account → Connect a bank and search for your bank.

Check what's shared

Moneta shows exactly what it can see: account names, balances and transactions. Read-only, nothing else.

Approve at your bank

Your bank's own login opens (Face ID in your banking app or on its website). Moneta never sees your password.

Done, synced

You're returned to Moneta with up to 2 years of transactions. Balances refresh every time you open the app.

Powered by Yapily, FCA-authorised open banking

Bank connections expire. That's by design.

Under UK and EU open-banking rules, your consent for Moneta to read your account normally lasts up to 90 days. Some banks end it sooner, for example after a password change or a new card. When access expires, syncing pauses until you re-authorise the connection in Moneta (Settings → Linked connections → Reauthorize). Your existing history stays safe on your device. Questions

Good to know.

Is Moneta a bank?

No. Moneta is a money-tracking app. It never holds, moves or invests your money, and it is not covered by the FSCS. Bank data is accessed read-only through Yapily Connect Ltd, an FCA-authorised account information service provider (FRN 827001).

Which banks can I connect?

Almost every UK bank, building society and credit card that supports open banking (Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, NatWest, Santander, Nationwide, Monzo, Starling, Revolut and many more), plus over 2,000 banks across Europe. If yours isn't listed, upload a CSV statement.

Why do I need to reconnect my bank?

Open-banking consent normally lasts up to 90 days, and your bank can end it earlier. When that happens, Moneta asks you to re-authorise at your bank. It takes about 20 seconds and keeps you in control. Details.

Does the Plan tab tell me what to do with my debts?

No. It shows calculations: what each option costs, how much of your income goes to credit, payoff timelines and the facts about credit files and priority bills. Letter templates are starting points you edit and send yourself. Choosing a debt solution is regulated advice, so Moneta puts free, FCA-regulated advisers one tap away instead.

Does Moneta give financial advice?

No. Insights, budgets and alerts are information only. For decisions about borrowing, investing or debt, speak to a regulated adviser. For free debt help, try StepChange or MoneyHelper.

What happens after the 3-day trial?

Moneta asks you to unlock Lifetime to keep using it. Your data stays on your device. If you've already bought Lifetime, tap "Restore purchases".

How do I delete my data?

In the app: Settings → Data & privacy → Delete my account & data. Or see this page.
