Terms of Use

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These Terms govern your use of Moneta ("the App"), provided by AnnMar Limited (company number 16014219, registered in England and Wales), trading as AnnMar Studio ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). Where they conflict, these Terms apply between you and us.

1. What Moneta is, and isn't

Moneta is not a bank, payment institution, lender, broker, investment firm or financial adviser. It does not hold, move, transfer or invest money, and money "in" Moneta is not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), because Moneta never holds it.

Moneta is a personal money-tracking tool. It shows information from accounts you connect or import and gives informational insights (for example safe-to-spend, budgets, subscription detection and portfolio summaries).

2. No financial advice

Nothing in the App or on this website is financial, investment, tax, legal or debt advice, or a personal recommendation. Figures such as "safe to spend" are estimates based on the data available and the pay date and bills you set. They may be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Always check your bank's own records before making decisions. Where the App detects possible signs of financial difficulty, it only signposts you to free, independent help such as StepChange, MoneyHelper or PayPlan. We are not affiliated with these organisations and receive no payment from them.

3. Bank connections (open banking)

  • Bank connections are provided by Yapily Connect Ltd, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (FRN 827001) as an Account Information Service Provider ("AISP") acting on your behalf. By connecting a bank you also agree to Yapily's End User Terms.
  • Access is read-only. Neither we nor the AISP can make payments from your account.
  • You authenticate directly with your bank. We never ask for or store your banking password.
  • Connections expire. Under UK/EU open-banking rules, consent normally lasts up to 90 days, and your bank may end it earlier. You must re-authorise each connection to keep data up to date. Until you do, the App shows the last data received. See Bank connections.
  • Banks, AISPs or exchanges may be unavailable or return incomplete data. We are not responsible for their services.

4. Crypto and trading accounts

Crypto and forex/CFD/prop-firm features are for tracking only. You should connect exchanges with read-only API keys. The App rejects keys with withdrawal permission, but you are responsible for the permissions you grant. Valuations use third-party prices that may be delayed or inaccurate. See the Risk Disclaimer.

5. Free trial and Lifetime purchase

  • New users get 3 days of free, full access, starting the first time you open the App. No payment details are needed and nothing renews automatically.
  • After the trial, continued use requires the Moneta Lifetime unlock: a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase (shown in-app in your local currency, for example £24.99 including VAT in the UK). It is not a subscription.
  • Payment is processed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies: reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Lifetime means for as long as we make the App available on the App Store. It includes updates to existing features. We may offer new, separate features in future.
  • You can restore your purchase on any device signed in to the same Apple ID ("Restore purchases"). Family Sharing is supported.
  • Consumer rights (UK): by starting the download of digital content, you agree that it is supplied immediately and you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day cancellation right once supply begins. This does not affect your statutory rights if the content is faulty.

6. Acceptable use

You must be 18 or over, use the App only for your own (or your household's) accounts, and not reverse-engineer, misuse or interfere with the App or our providers. You are responsible for keeping your device secure.

7. Family module

Pocket-money balances, chores and "settle up" amounts are records you keep yourself. They are not real accounts. Settling up resets the tracked balance only and does not move money.

8. Our liability

We provide the App with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by decisions you make based on information in the App, for third-party services (banks, AISPs, exchanges, Apple), or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Ending use

You can stop using the App and delete your data at any time (Settings → Delete my account & data). We may suspend access if you seriously breach these Terms.

10. Law and complaints

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings there. Complaints: info@annmarlimited.co.uk. We aim to respond within 14 days.

Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
